2025-2026 :: U18 Spring Tryout Information and Results

Hi Everyone,

Tonight is the final tryout session to make the final decisions for the U18A roster. Tonight's session had to be adjusted to accommodate a goalie evaluation session. The planned Goalie session last night had to be cancelled because of power outages at CRC. All players are expected to arrive & be ready for an exhibition game to start at 8pm.

The exhibition game will consist of 2 periods 24 mins in length (Run Time). Each remaining goalie will get ~12 mins in the net. We are playing a group of mainly KGHA Alumni that are playing Senior hockey, the skill is varied but the competition will be high. We have 12 Forwards & 7 D remaining, for evaluation purposes you may see players sitting a few shifts, you may also see players in different positions, this will happen in order to get more reps for other players or see players in different spots.

The 2nd hour will be dedicated to Goalie Evaluations. These Evaluations will be conducted by KGHA coaches with support from independent evaluators to ensure a fair & thorough process. A few players & coaches that were on KGHA rosters this year will be doing the shooting for the evaluators.

Thanks again for everyone's patience through this process & for the player's efforts through all the tryouts. Due to the time of this session & the discussions involved with regards to selections, the results from tonight's session will not be posted until 4:00pm Thursday.
