Registration information

Registration for U11, U13, U15 and U18 SPRING TRYOUTS for the 2026/2027 season is open!

PLEASE READ ALL THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW.  

Registration for tryouts will close on April 12, 2026.

Tryouts will take place between April 16, 2026 and May 11, 2026; see the 26/27 Competitive Tryout Schedule for details. 

HOW TO REGISTER 

Please register at: KanataGHA.rampregistrations.com

If logging in for the first time, please create a family account that includes all members registering with the KGHA. Don’t forget to record your login information for future registrations. 

IMPORTANT: OWHA has indicated that All players MUST register using their legal name. 

Payment 

• payment is by credit card only and charges will be applied on the day your registration is submitted 
• the online registration is through secure payment using the RAMP registration system

Players are strongly encouraged to register for the appropriate level.  An appropriate level might be two levels above the level played during the 2025/2026 season.  For example, if the player was on the U13C team, the player should consider registering for the U13A or the U15BB tryouts, depending on age.  

Players are only guaranteed one skate per level, to a total of 2 hours of ice minimum. Please note that the KGHA Competitive Committee reserves the right to limit the number of skaters trying out at each level.

Coming from another association 

To be eligible to participate in tryouts, a player coming from another OWHA association or OWHA independent team must either obtain a completed Permission to Tryout form from their home association or be released to OWHA Player Releases.  

Completed Permission to Tryout forms must be submitted to the KGHA Registrars at registrar@kgha.ca. 

A Permission to Tryout form will not be accepted for U11 players. U11 players wishing to tryout with the KGHA must obtain a release.

Feedback

Feedback from coaches/evaluators will only be provided to the last players released at each level. Please allow 24 hrs to pass before reaching out to vpcompetitive@kgha.ca to request feedback. Thank you for your cooperation. 

As outlined in the KGHA Registration Policy, harassment, abuse, bullying and misconduct as defined in the OWHA Harassment, Abuse, Bullying and Misconduct Policy will not be tolerated at any time. A member may not be allowed to register if they have been deemed, by the KGHA Executive, to have exhibited such behavior towards members of the KGHA Executive, team staff, players, referees, timekeepers, or other volunteers.

Note: A player who makes a competitive team and subsequently requests a release will be assessed a $500 fine.

26/27 Competitive Tryout Schedule

The distribution of tryout jerseys will be announced once a date has been set.  

Prior to each tryout session, players are asked to check themselves in at the registration table.  

Make sure to check this page regularly as updates will be posted and schedules may change.
