U15B Coach's Letter

Dear Parents and Players,

My name is Adam Tackaberry, and I am excited to introduce myself as the head coach for the upcoming competitive girls hockey season. I am truly looking forward to working with this group of athletes and being part of their continued growth and development, both as hockey players and as individuals.

Season Overview

This season, our focus will be on building a competitive and supportive team environment where players are encouraged to challenge themselves and reach their full potential. We will emphasize both individual skill development and team play, ensuring that each athlete continues to progress while contributing to the success of the group. Most importantly, we want this to be a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved including parents.

Team Values

Our team culture will be built around four key values:

? Dedication - Showing commitment through consistent effort, strong attendance, and a willingness to improve every day.

? Development - Focusing on growth in skills, game awareness, and confidence throughout the season.

? Teamwork - Supporting one another, building trust, and working together toward shared goals.

? Having Fun - Enjoying the game, celebrating successes, and creating lasting memories as a team.

Season Commitment & Schedule

Players can expect a regular schedule that includes practices, games, and dry-land training. Consistent attendance and effort will be important to both individual and team success.

We are planning to participate in 4-5 tournaments throughout the season. These events will provide valuable opportunities for competition and team bonding.

Budget

A detailed breakdown of season costs will be shared once finalized. Roughly $2000-2500

Development Focus

Throughout the season, we will place an emphasis on:
? Strengthening fundamental skills
? Improving game awareness and decision-making
? Building strong team systems and communication
? Developing confidence and leadership qualities
? Encouraging both physical and mental preparation

Expectations

Players are expected to come prepared, work hard, and show respect for teammates, coaches, and officials at all times. Being a supportive and positive teammate is essential. Parents play a vital role in helping create a positive environment.

Communication

Open and respectful communication is important to me. Please feel free to reach out at any time with questions, concerns, or feedback.

I am looking forward to a great season ahead!

Sincerely,

Adam Tackaberry
