Hello Parents and Players,
My name is Kevin Stead, and I’m excited to introduce myself as your U13A coach for the upcoming season. I’m looking forward to getting started and setting the tone for a year focused on growth, commitment, and hard work.
My coaching philosophy is built around work ethic first. Skill development, systems, and results all start with effort. I believe players improve the most when they consistently work hard, compete in every drill, and take pride in doing things the right way—whether it’s during practice, games, or off the ice.
This season, expectations will be clear: come prepared, be coachable, and give an honest effort every time you step on the ice. Mistakes are part of learning, but effort is non-negotiable. Players who work hard, support their teammates, and show accountability will put themselves in the best position to succeed.
In return, I’m committed to being prepared, organized, and fair. My goal is to challenge players, help them build strong habits, and create an environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded.
Communication is important to me, and I encourage respectful and constructive dialogue throughout the season. More information regarding team expectations, schedules, and goals will be shared soon.
I’m looking forward to a great season beginning with tryouts.
See you at the rink,
Kevin Stead Head Coach
