Head Coach JASON JUDD U15A Kanata Rangers
Team,
As we get ready to launch into a brand-new season, I want to take a moment to set the foundation for what this year will be about. You are a talented group with enormous potential, and my goal as your coach is to help you unlock every bit of it. That starts with one core principle: discipline.
Discipline On the Ice
Every practice and every game is an opportunity to get better. That means:
- Showing up prepared and focused
- Pushing through fatigue
- Competing for every puck
- Holding yourself and your teammates to a high standard
Skill matters, but discipline is what separates good teams from great ones.
Discipline Off the Ice
Championship habits don’t stop when you leave the rink. This season, we’re committing to:
- Consistent weight training to build strength, prevent injuries, and improve performance
- Healthy eating habits that fuel your body the way an athlete needs
- Proper rest and recovery so you can train and play at your best
These choices aren’t always easy, but they are what serious athletes make every day.
Hard Work as a Lifestyle
I’m not asking for perfection - I’m asking for effort, honesty, and pride in the work you put in. When you choose discipline, you choose to respect your teammates, your coaches, and yourself. You choose to become stronger, faster, and more confident. You choose to grow.
Our Commitment
In return, you can expect from me:
- Clear communication
- High-quality practices
- Support, guidance, and accountability
- A team environment where you can thrive
We’re going to push each other, challenge each other, and celebrate each other. That’s how great teams are built.
Let’s Get to Work
This season is a chance to define who we are - not just as hockey players, but as young women learning what it means to commit to something bigger than ourselves. I’m excited to get started, and I’m proud to be on this journey with you.
